Incredible experience. All the staff members are super friendly and compassionate - especially the nurses, who were beautifully patient and caring. The food was exquisite, and the kitchen staff so accommodating, it was wonderful. The community was welcoming - do not underestimate the value of sharing this journey with the people you meet while you're there. My sessions with Ashley were insightful and enlightening. Would definitely recommend Akeso Kenilworth on your journey of returning to yourself.

I was here for a week, initially intended longer stay but I couldn't wait to get away from here. My medication was mixed up on two occasions. Staff were very unsympathetic, impatient and rather rude. Things like your Hairdryer, Nailclippers, perfume etc are taken and you need to request it if you need to use it. I felt imprisoned and couldn't wait to get out. A few days later I went to Crescent Clinic where I had been before and felt like I was home.

Akeso is simply a containment space for those struggling with mental problems. It will only be as effective as your consulting therapists who oversee the care. It is very expensive, they struggle to answer the phone and the staff say things to patients they have no place in saying. I do not recoomend this place. Save your money

I came here by choice at when I was struggling with an ED a few years ago. It was TERRIBLE! I didn’t mind the restrictions but the BULLYING by the other kids destroyed me. They would sit together after sessions and make up stories to complain about in group the next day. I had overheard them once in the bathroom but I wasn’t believed as it was 1 against 6. Even one of the councillors Jeane/Jeanine was terribly harsh and rude to me. I get that she was probably protective over her patient but I was accused of saying things which I never did therefore I DENIED it. I was 16 y/o being berated by an adult all the while majority of her patients were bullying me. This is something that was constantly brought up in my therapy sessions AFTER KAYA. I needed therapy to recover from the Mean Girls who pretended to be angels.

Currently in here and I've never experienced such inpatient staff whilst having am anxiety attack AMD then accuse you of screaming AMD shouting at them, being sarcastic. The facilities are okay but not being able to have am entertainment room is ridiculous we have all been tested and given clear why are we not allowed to talk to other people and socialize with each other in a fun way that could maybe actually help us, but no apparently being woken up but your psychiatrist is the best way. Awful food that only comes with a mango juice box

I would give it a zero rating if it was possible.
It took forever to get booked in and get to my room. Rooms don't have air conditioning, kitchen didn't have tea, eating with plastic cutlery, flies in dining area, patients ignoring mask wearing rules, stains on bed linen, bed light not working. You are not getting what you pay for. I had been to a lot of clinics and they charge the same price but they are 100 times better.

I checked in to Akeso a few weeks ago, The nurses were ready for me to go into isolation and then I was fed and well taken care of. The covid test was done on my second day in Isolation and I got to see my psychiatrist on this day too. Once I got my negative Covid19 results, they moved me to the GU. Once I joined the GU I had my orientation, the nurses were lovely and everyone was very informative about everything. The nurses were helpful and kind and really caring, the cooks made really great meals, I think we complained once about the food.

Maintenance is always being done. The place is spotless, constantly getting cleaned, and just the friendly nature of everyone is really appreciated especially when you in such a difficult space in your life.

I would recommend anyone and everyone to this specific clinic. The Cope team were always well prepared and delivered really strong lessons on a daily occurrence, their also seemed to be this constant communication between all the counsellors so they were on the same page. It's a very safe and welcoming space.
