Buffet at its best! Wide selection of warm foods to devour. Best time to go is at night as it is less crowded. If you craving soul food and not in the mood to slave in the kitchen, schoongezicht is the place to go!

The event was a birthday party with last minute increases in the number of people attending. There were one issues with this and a booking, which was only brought to our attention after the guests had been seated and begun eating.

1. The managers attitude is poor, as he did bring it to our attention and he replied that it isn't his job to count the number of heads at a booking and the we should do the count while he watches.
How'd he know that we had more than planned if he did not count? BTW, 1 more child attended than planned.
His entire behviour and attitude felt like he would've been happier without our party of 20+. If we had known that this was going to turn out so poorly, we would've made arrangements elsewhere.

2. No waiters readily available to take drinks orders. We were waiting, as priority seemed to go to other areas with booked rooms and I had to go ask the manager to send a waitress. This took +15 minutes by which people were loosing interest. Staff entirely aren't into it, with most standing with their hands in their pockets at the buffet service area.

3. Different families at one party ordering drinks, some were paid for on the spot and some running the tab. The waitress did not ask, she just begun to run a tab for everybody together.

4. Flies going into the drinks, pics attached.

5. Food wasn't good, no pics because of signs prohibiting use of cameras. Curries had a sweet flavour but lacked any zest. The roast beef was okay but tough, however I was told that no steak knives are kept and we used butter knives to cut through the tough meat.
Fish (yellow tail) wasn't great either, where it looked good but on taste it wasn't fresh. The ice cream also was of the poor quality.
Prawns and lamb were supposed to be dishes served, which were not available.

Altogether these issues and that the low ratings with lack of responses to those, are an indicator of how this place is managed.

The food was okay, personally I expected it to be better. There's a bigger choice for starters but less for the main course. It was a big let down that you can't even get tap water, you have to buy bottled water. The waiter's service was good. The coleslaw was too watery. I enjoyed the wings and the brownies.

Very large buffet restaurant with a wide variety of foods. This restaurant has private rooms available, which is really nice. There is a nice chapel as well for weddings. There is even a play park for the kids.

Our waitress Hlumisa what a sweet friendly very helpful and amazing person she really attend to our needs with a smile what awesome customer service and the food was delicious

You eat as much as you like. I love the soul food. Its also child friendly,my kids loved it.
