Silverstream Waterfall

Another wonderful cool place to take a break. The view are amazing. There are evergreen trees for some shade in the hot summer. In winter, a beautiful long waterfall running down near - vertical rocks covered with mosses and other plants. The big over-hanging rocks also provide a shelter of sorts, and there are some comfy places to sit.

We had so much fun. The weather was great for hiking, it had rained the morning so the waterfall was beautifully flowing.

Beautiful, amazing, quiet (hopefully stays that way), the water wasn't flowing majorly because of the drought but hopefully this changes for Cape Town.

Amazing views and once you are up on the contour path the hike is fairly flat. Walked up platteklip, turned left and went down by the devils peak path. Took about 2 hours with a few rest stops.

Excellent spot for tea. Easy access from Platteklip Gorge and then along Contour Path. Large overhang offers protection from rain or sun. Winter is the best time to see the waterfall as it is mostly dry in summer.
