A crowded space with very average food, definitely missed the fine part of the dining.
We had a lovely waitress that made the experience nice, same goes for the rest of the staff which were friendly.
Would recommend for partying/drinking and not dining as the place gets really full, loud and turns into a club in a restaurant-with great sing-along music

If I could give 0 stars I would in a heart beat. A poorly run establishment with no class or care for the customers! Definitely racial undertones that exist within those 4 walls. Not only was I countlessly ignored by the waiters but upon query about an error on the bill, the manager was rather condescending. He did not deal with the matter correctly and had a huge sense of entitlement! He never once apologized. One thing I know about the service industry, the customer is always right! I will never ever recommend this place! If you are a person of colour I strongly suggest you go somewhere else to eat!!

Very average food, waiters push way too much to have tequilas and more drinks. Corkage for wine is R150 and for bubbles R250 - that's insane. The place becomes are vibe after 10pm but feels more forced than a natural vibe.

Imagine a part of Chelsea UK in Cape Town with world class decor and food that will simply never dissappoint... that's The Duchess! Under the magic wand of owner and chef Theresa, a fresh array of ingenious daily specials including wild mushroom soup (vegan) to the truffle Mac and Cheese or the finest beef tagliatta or fish that CT can offer ... throw in Abba and sparkles as the clock hits 9pm and the finest Negroni from the bar... yup Duchess will keep you coming back for more always!!

Poor service, below average cocktails, overly priced tequila and very CRAMPED restaurant. It used to be a favourite of mine but it now seems to be going downhill.

If a prepubescent 18 year old boy owned a restaurant- this would be the result. If you’re with friends and down to laugh at the absurdity, can be super fun.

3 stars for a surprisingly good burger.

Excellent venue and food and service and decor and ambience; wish I could give them an extra star for moving to protect customers with a mask mandate when it was most needed; bravo! ????????????????????????
