I haven't been to Fat Cactus in many years. I took the kids to treat them and WOW. I didn't realise I had been missing the Ice Berg beer special so much. The food was exactly as good as I remember and the whole family enjoyed. Friendly staff and tidy restaurant just add to the great experience.

Great service and great food. The hot chicky burger is my wife's favorite. Best starters is the country fried wings or chicken and waffles. If you cannot decide on what to eat just get the platter. Remember to tip Patrick the car guard. Friendliest smile around.

I had a most enjoyable Burger for dinner with colleagues and the beef patty was home made and delicious. I was disappointed that it was not spicy but when I enquired the hostess was quick to bring us a few different mild, spicy to fiery hot which turned out to be perfect. The decor interior is tasteful and in Winter the outdoor seating with the special heating seemed a local well know secret as all were fully occupied, mid week. I shall definately visit here again.

Visited late afternoon on a Saturday. Had great and fast service with a very helpful waiter who assisted us with our food choices (there are so many good options). I had the ridiculously good Strawberry Daiquiri mocktail and hubby had a Fokof Fokberg (which is a beer topped with lime margarita slush). Starters consisted of to-die-for Amazeballs (deep fried Risotto balls with cheese and chorizo and jalapeño pieces - very mild spice level for those of you who are a bit more sensitive to heat) and hubby had some ???? hot ???? Jalapeño Poppers (he rated them 4 out of 10 on heat scale, but they were more like a 7 to me!) My main was Coriander and Lime Chicken Enchilada. Very good and generous enough that I took half of it home for later! There was a small mixup with hubby's Nachos so it wasn't as hot as he would have liked but still really good. He'll be spicing up his leftovers at home. This is where our story started out 7 years ago. Was so good to be back. We'll definitely visit more often! Ps. We were too stuffed for dessert - pity! Maybe next time, dear Deep Fried Mars bar ????

Great selection of Tex-Mex food in the southern suburbs. The nachos is always a winner (with beans or veg) and is suitable for 2 people to share. Service is pleasant and efficient.

Weekends and happy hour get rather busy especially if sports games are on, so be sure to make a reservation to avoid disappointment.

Best place ever. If you want good food and a good time. The fat caxlctus Mowbray is the place. You have to try the iceberg , it's amazing

Awesome little spot to hang out with friends, grab a bite or have a drink. Love the food and good value for money.

Always best to call and book a table if possible as this place gets busy quickly.

Parking can be a bit of an issue with the narrow roads but there are some friendly car-guards, so even if you park around the corner, your car should be ok.

Overall, our circle of frineds loves meeting up here for mid-week drinks and a catchup.
