What a historic venue. The sign says 1864. The venue is much bigger and spacious than it looks from outside. Great atmosphere, perfect for bigger groups (we were 34) and very much central Cape Town. More than enough parking and very proffesional service.

Great place. Has had a bit of a facelift since I was there the last time - probably 20 years ago - but some of the legacy has been retained. Food is yummy and there is a good selection of beers.

Good old establishment. Large beer selection. Really well prepared if a little pricey for pub style food. Varied selection of meals. Had great service, friendly efficient. Liked the on tap Guinness and tank Castle especially.

An institution of note. Meals are massive and well priced, and beer variety on tap is extensive and served chilled. Service needs some attention, can be tough to find a waiter even to pay the bill, but will certainly be back for another one of those cheese burgers ????

First of, I did not have high hopes...

Oh gosh was I WRONG!!

I love their beef ribs, onion rings and chicken wings.

My friend had the tripe and he was very happy.

Super dog friendly, they brought my puppy water and a few dog biscuits.
