Had a wonderful stay here. There were some small bugs in the bathroom but not enough to put me off completely. The complimentary wine was so thoughtful and the king size bed slept AMAZING! The DSTV channel range was very limited thought. Otherwise very happy!

Lecture Hall was small, load shedding major problem, enjoyed driving up the hills with the sunrise ???? shining up on my face????

An absolutely beautiful place with great views. However, the service is pathetic, you complain until you are blue in the face because the staff is unresponsive. And their greetings are worth a pound of flesh_????.

Our food was salty, toast burnt, we were ferried in a dirty shuttle. Our water for tea was brown because we were given a coffee pot/ flask. I have on countless times returned a dirty cup. Out of the 14 meals that I ate, I enjoyed 4.

The rooms are beautiful, spacious and fully equipped. The drawback is that they are not that clean, specks of old dust and cobwebs. The blankets are cobweb thin and my room wasn't warm enough despite the air- conditioner.

Will I recommend the place, well you decide!

A magical place. Enjoying the silence and cool sea breeze. Wines are exceptional, restaurant was amazing on the balmiest of nights. Oxtail was sumptuous. All in all our stay was perfect. Thank you, Frank!

From the moment I arrived at The Zevenwacht Hotel every single staff member went out of their way to make my stay as comfortable and interesting as possible.
Masixole Klaas at reception came out to my car to welcome me. Carried my bags to my designated room. Masi then drove me to the tasting room for a commentary wine tasting. I was fetched afterwards and driven back to my hotel room.
At the wine tasting venue I was warmly entertained by both Patrick and Gabby. Their knowledge of the Zevenwacht wines were not only impressive but enthusiastically entroducedand served.
Gabby suggested I order a cheese and cold meat platter from the dining room menu when I informed her that I have not eaten today. The platter arrived in its splendour, big enough for six.
Now, after a long day of traveling between Cape Town and Kuilsrivier on a busy Friday afternoon, I am comfortably ensconced in my large luxurious room where a warm bath and crisp fresh bed beckons me.

Lovely setting and ambiance.
Food generally good but not exceptional although our guest said his sirloin steak was one of the best he'd ever had.
Service was variable, from average to good.
