This restaurant was recommended to us as one of the top eateries in the area, but we left disappointed. The food was good, but service and behavior of other guests were below expectations.
We were seated at a table in the far back of the 'patio', a covered sunroom area, with several loud birthday parties. The table next to us was particularly loud. They had finished their food, and were playing very loud and distracting videos and music on their phones. Staff did not to seem to care, and we could see several other annoyed guests turning their heads.
After waiting more than 30 min at our table, no one had been to take our drink or food orders, so we finally flagged down someone and asked to be reseated. At about 45 min after arrival, we could finally order our food.
Several other things were not as advertised. There was no free guest wifi (password required and not available), my Chateaubriand steak was not flamed-at-the-table (big disappointment) and overcooked, and the glass of wine that I ordered was charged as a whole bottle.
The rest of the food was good, though. The other person in my party had a great steak that was perfectly medium rare, the stuffed mushroom appetizer dish was yummy, and the apple crumble dessert was very nice too.
But then....
A drunk woman from another party set herself down at our table and talked to us for 15 min without any waiter interfering, and several children from one of the birthday parties were running around and in and out, leaving the front door wide open on this chilly evening. We had to get up and close the door ourselves at least four times.
Two of the three bathrooms stalls in the ladies' were without paper (no extra rolls provided), one sink was "out of order" and the other one was not draining.
All and all, not the experience I would have expected at a winery/restaurant. Maybe Saturdays are particularly bad with big birthday party groups, but I had hoped for a romantic dinner for two, not a night with kids running around and drunk guests playing loud YouTube videos or inviting themselves at our table.
Staff here was trying, but seemed completely overwhelmed with the large groups. Food was good, but my overcooked Chateaubriand not flambeed at the table was a big disappointment.
