Such a stunning resort with the most breathtaking views and the bonus is literally being a few steps from the beach. The apartments are small but furnished beautifully..modern and luxurious. Service was great. Excellent restaurants inside... pizzas and burgers,milkshakes etc were amazing!!! Spa was good. Will definitely book La Montagne again.

This place looks so grand from the outside but step in then you see. The bed needed replacement 10 year's ago. House keeping don't know what they doing. When we arrived did not had the correct towels in the room. Wonder who check's on them. And reception don't warn guest when there is construction work happening in the room right above you. Management of this place don't care about the guest. When issues raised front desk just say will give to management. Never saw 1 management during our stay. Management don't care

La Montagne could do so much better in terms of their house keeping. It's situated in such a picturesque area. The hotel is in desperate need of a revamp including new furniture, linen etc. We were disappointed on the one day when there was no power nor generators that were working. We were told that only if you booked for a spa treatment at La Vita then you could order your breakfast in house... I was highly upset at their ignorance. However we had a relatively good 4 days and the staff were really polite and helpful.

Booked in room 105 for 8 nights. Ground level on the beach front. Nice to walk to the beach.

Day 1 we saw one roach. Day 2 we had another two in the room. Day 3 we found the nest in the geyser cupboard and complained after we stopped counting at 35.

While we were looking for the roaches, we found them in the aircon ducts too.

They moved us 2 doors down the passage the following Monday. The new room had no more roaches inside but the outside walkway was still full of them.

Pool under renovation so we couldn’t use that. Place needs some serious maintenance.

Absolutely loved my stay. Stunning sunsets / sunrises with a great view from the balcony. Rooms very clean and beds were very comfortable. Bedding crisp and fresh. The staff was friendly and helpful. Only snag was the wifi, the signal did not reach the 9th floor.

Love Ballito and have stayed at LA Montagne 3 times, unfortunately this time my father (whose timeshare it is) is in a wheelchair. The unit is definitely not wheelchair friendly and the bathroom is not equipped for a wheelchair user as he can't get into the shower. Also we can't get to the upper deck by the pool

La montagne is a good place with a nice pool, warm and cold. The service is good sometimes on bad days can be slow but is usually good. Some rooms do need some cleaning and repairing to do. Also has a lot of activities every day for your children and fun challenges for prizes. My real rating would be 3.7 stars
