Enjoyed my group walk through the area. Mostly shaded. Some steep parts. Great viewing spots. Benches along the way. All in all fairly well maintained. Best to walk in a group. Possibility of getting lost and safer. Security in the car park and picnic site.

Great place. Hard to imagine that the city is so close. Went to on a hot day and it was pleasing to walk with all the trees around making it cool. Lovely viewpoint and picnic area at the end of the red trail. Do take caution as incidents have happened but security was beefed up on my last visit.

Safe trails with the amazing and knowledgeable Musa as our guide ranger.

A wonderful place to enjoy a picnic or Braai, lovely nature trail walk. The toilets are not the cleanest so plan appropriately lol. Huge trees for a lovely shaded picnic

It looks well kept did not do any hiking as there have been too many muggings although they have security guards I will not take a chance the Joy's of the present South Africa

Used to be a safe and busy place at one stage.Sadly not anymore. Lots of monkeys originate from this little paradise.and are characters and a highlight seeing them.
Unfortunately in the last few decades ,vagrants and thugs hide and attack visitors. The Ethekweni municipality need to have a group of permanent law enforcement staff here to keep visitors safe. The vagrants and thugs need to be booted out immediately . We have this reserve and it should be kept neat and well maintained so we may all enjoy it. Would not chance visiting unless proper law enforcement present.WAKE UP ETHEKWENI MUNICIPALITY and make this reserve safe again.

This is a relatively easy hike. The viewing deck has beautiful views of the umgeni River and lagoon area.
