Guru and the devotees are so friendly. The temple and surroundings are neat and tidy. Very well kept temple. The interior has been recently renovated with granite. This temple is suitable for small weddings and functions with the use of a hall next to the temple or the garden area

Built in 1905, this temple stands as a monument of faith for South African Indian indentured labourers brought to Durban by the brutal British Empire from India with the promise of a better life, only to slave in the African sun in the Natal cane fields.
But indentured labourers would ultimately triumph - mainly through culture and religion - bringing up generations who, more than 200 years later, would become great South Africans and greater Africans.
