Msinsi is a great place to do a trail run or go for a walk. It is quite hard to know when it will be open with little way to tell so be sure to have a backup plan. It’s very close to Glenwood.

Not very big but a lush, tranquil place to trail run or hike or just stand in the indigenous forest and BE... it’s important to reconnect with Nature, so make Msinsi your friend. The UKZN sports grounds are sometimes locked, so a good second option (even more remarkable perhaps, is Pigeon Valley Nature Reserve, open 730am-4pm daily, and also free entry). This reserve is located within the grounds of the University of KwaZulu-Natal Howard College campus. It is ideal for an afternoon run letting you combine running around the sports track and other fields with running along the trails of the actual reserve

Msinsi is a great place to walk, relax and enjoy the outdoors. A wide variety of butterflies, birds and indigenous flora can be experienced.
