Man Oh Man what can I say. RED CARPET BUNNY. Absolutely flavourful and spices that hit every pellet on your tongue. Service was great didn't had to wait long. When I'm in Durbs again this will be my lunch spot. Durban Tradition. Thanks to the team and keep it but.

My first time to visit here. I have been in Durban all my life just about, but today I had the opportunity to eat at the famous Gounden's. I must say I was impressed with everything. The #muttonbunny was really good. I found no faults. Only thing was that the waiter brought me a knife and fork. ????u200d♀️. I guess he thinks the wit ous can't chow a bunny with their hands. ????.

Still setting the bar for the famous Durban "Bunny Chow" food is constantly good, ive been visiting this establishment for many years, always busy around lunch, you will find a seat though.

If you live in Durban you have countless choices when it comes to buying a curry. But Goudens is not just any curry it is the best in Durban. I cook a pretty decent curry so it real as to take something special for me to jump in car and travel to Umbilo just to satisfy my craving. From bunnies to my personal favorite the braised chops every dish is perfection. Service is not the best. The setting is nothing to write home about. But I reserve the 5 star rating solely on the food because that is mo doubt absolutely quality ????

Excellent Lamb curry and rice, as well as bunny's; not too hot and not too mild in taste. Consistency from week to week is incredable! - lunch times are VERY busy - make sure you get in early!! Decent value for money! - Behind the counter staff are very efficient, being able to take multiple orders and payments at a time! - Very professional and certainly a HIGH "go-to" place to go!! - Well done!!

Been ranting to my daughter about Goundens and that I used to eat there + -20 years ago, so I decided I would take her, I ordered the mutton and cabbage bunny special (tough meat with sweet cabbage) and my daughter ordered a mince bunny chow(the only flavour was cinnamon).

Chip and cheese bunny chow it's like eating chocolate straight from willy wonkas chocolate factory except from India and its not chocolate .
