Had to try Solly Manjra as a Durban favorite. It is extremely popular and busy with a continuous turn over of people.

I was however disappointed with the taste of my veg breyani. The soji is like wedding soji but quite expensive.

A visit to Solly Manjras is never a wasted trip. Their food and their unmatched quality has been consistent for the last 6 years that I have being buying from there. The staff are friendly and efficient, the portions of the food are great and you get real value for money.

They will always have my continuous support

I go there when I am Durban +- 5x a year since about 15 years. During this period of time, my wife and I have found that Solly Manjra's wide range of foods are always of top quality and delicious taste.

Service is fairly quick for the amount of visitors coming here especially on weekends. Foods is great and portions are sizeable, particularly the biryani. I once bought food here (in a pot from home) for my family Saturday lunch while they were away and pretended as if I cooked it, they loved it. Yes, I eventually told them the truth though. ????

The old shop had better atmosphere. The food use to be very tasty and it was about feeding people. Presently, it is mass production and all about money, which is sad. Manjras has lost the plot. The restaurant serving buffet was so awesome, to have fresh food served in dishes, but now we get food in polystyrene containers. Very sad

I have been a patron of Solly Manjras for many years. As with any food experience they swing and miss once in a while but 99 percent of the time the food is absolutely delicious. The biryani is what they are famous for but thier Dhall and Kalya is absolutely phenomenal as well. You can't order from them you may only go in for pick ups. And don't even attempt to go to them on a lunch time on Friday unless you're really for a solid wait. But I guess thier busy streak speaks it's own volumes. The prices are not what they once where as I discovered upon my last visit but still probably cheaper than you will get elsewhere for the quality. Nice big quantities in their servings. Very much recommended

By far I have never been disappointed with the Mutton Bunny from this establishment. They have a variety of meals and desserts.

The staff are friendly , polite and considerate. Everything on the menu is enjoyed with delite.
There are many establishments in Kzn that win the annual bunny competition but this venue is the only venue in kzn that I have been to that has always been consistent.

I even needed to buy a Bunny for a visitor that was going to arrive on 2 hours so they packed the bread and curry separately. Never experienced this elsewhere. Their Bunny boxes are also easy to open , eat and dispose of with no mess .
