The old fort is amazing , sadly the buildings need maintenance , as does the outer wall , its sad to see heritage sites not being cared for. However its a gem , not to be missed.

Grounds need maintenance, rubbish lying around, the museum was very interesting and well maintained

Sadly and infuriatingly this historical gem suffers from nearly total neglect from those who are supposed to care for it

This should be a major Durban tourist site but it’s not being as well looked after as it could. Shame my school teacher mom was sorry to see her favourite bench made out of wood from an early historic ship had been removed and the sundial lost its brass pieces. However it’s lovely for a quick walk around and the curators are trying their best to keep up the museum and chapel and historic buildings are used for meetings too.

Beautifull park in the middle of the city.
Great place to visit if you playing Geocaching, Ingress or Pokémon.
As always, be aware of Muggers.
