Took my wife to celebrate our anniversary. The buffet selection was extremely limited. Moreover, what was available was simply horrible. The desert matched the poor quality of the food. Not sure as to when it was prepared, but it definitely was not fresh. Hilton is a world renowned brand, and the Hilton Durban is no exception. Having a restaurant with the standard of Vasco's is beyond belief.Guests want to enjoy the complete package, and dinning is a massive part of the overall experience.

Giving one star is too much????
The food was very disappointing, we expected a variety of food for a buffet but only got served a selection of a bland pasta, chakalaka, dombolo, roasted baby potatoes,meatballs.sweet potato soup,tasteless roasted pork, steamed veggies and rice and unappetizing salad and this was suppose to be a buffet at Hilton Hotel ???? which cost R275. What about ppl that eat lamb or beef you dont cater for them ????????the hotel is beautiful but Vasco's need to up their game.Extremely disappointed.

Booked for my husband's 50th birthday on a friday for the seafood Buffett was not informed that they no longer do seafood buffet disappointed as I was we where there already so decided to go with the international buffet to my disgust it was the worst buffet I had ever had for R275 the mains was broad beans curry ,boerwors chutney and pap and raw chicken curry and pork roast terrible food called manager who tried to help .got the chef to our table because we where ready to leave they convinced us they will try to make a seafood platter after much convincing we decided to give them a chance the seafood platter came was not tasty at all .will never recommend to any one if you hear hilton vascos don't get carried away it's just a name but the staff was very helpful .my husband was so disappointed for his 50th birthday never going back .

Way overrated!!! Food wasnt all that. Menu was very limited for an "international menu". Definitely not worth the price paying. Not worth it in my opinion!

Everything was fine, but not outstanding. The staff was business friendly; We have already experienced that better in South Africa. I had expected more from the Hilton brand.

Complement: Another visit to the restaurant was more enjoyable. Maybe because it was less frequented. The carbonara was ok, but the rigatoni were too spicy. The service was ok too and this time really friendly. Unfortunately, the air conditioning is still set too cold, which makes the stay in the restaurant a bit uncomfortable.

Das Angebot vom Buffet ist umfangreich, für den 'normalen' Hunger gibt es aber auch eine Menükarte. Die Preise liegen auf deutschem Niveau, sind also durchaus erschwinglich. Die Auswahl ist beschränkt, aber ausreichend. Immerhin wird alles frisch zubereitet. Allerdings betrug die Wartezeit auf Lendchen und Hähnchenbrust ca. 50 Minuten. Das ist einfach viel zu lang! Geschmacklich war alles in Ordnung, aber nicht herausragend. Das Personal war geschäftsmäßig freundlich; das haben wir in Südafrika auch schon besser erlebt. Von der Marke Hilton hatte ich mehr erwartet.

Ergänzung: Ein weiterer Besuch des Restaurants war erfreulicher. Vielleicht auch deshalb, weil es weniger frequentiert war. Die Carbonara war ok, die Rigatoni dagegen zu scharf gewürzt. Der Service war auch in Ordnung und diesmal wirklich freundlich. Leider ist die Klimaanlage noch immer zu kalt eingestellt, was den Aufenthalt im Restaurant etwas ungemütlich macht.
