I was booked in for a biopsy, authority given the day before. When I arrived, there was no bed available. I was eventually put into a room next to a person whom I was told was 40 years old. This person screamed non stop for an hour "because she wanted her mother"
I asked to be moved into another room after the biopsy. They moved me. Then they moved the screaming woman into the same ward. When I asked a nurse to try to quieten her she reacted very poorly and did nothing about it.
The night staff bang cupboard doors and speak loudly all night. They have no concern or concept of silence.
At 3.30 am a nurse noisily opened the door to my room and pulled the curtain open. I asked her what she was doing in my room, she said she came to put a hospital card the room. I asked her what the time was and who she woke me up. She said she didn't wake me up.
She obviously can't understand that entering someone's room noisily at 3,30 am will wake them up.
At 5 o clock the Red Alert Cleaner came banging into the room to empty the dust bin.
The screaming started again at 5..........
The only positive thing was the food which was good.
What a terrible experience
