Busy with renevations. The youngster working in the museum that is open to public dont know her facts or ittems on display. Why is staff untrained? They are more intrested to talk to their friends than to work and answering your questions or share knowledge.

What a delightful little museum smack bang on the corners of York street and Courtenay street, in the middle of George.
It hosts several themes from wood, dolls, insects, antiques, etc.
Staff are very friendly and helpful. It is amazing that such a place operates without charging any fees, but I suppose this approach is also responsible for the decline of the facility, because they aren't receiving any fees from visitors.
Visit this gem before it vanishes completely.

A must do when in George. The museum is located centrally and is so rich in our South African history taking you back in time. Thoroughly enjoyed the visit

Great history not giving a 5 due to being under renovation.

Interesting look at the history of George and surrounds. No entrance fee but a donation box is available.

Loved different typesTrees, wood and furniture made .Yellow wood etc.
Old telephones, old furniture, utensils, old matches and boxes,British dressing, and a lot more.
