Was admitted to Livingstone Hospital for an emergency procedure, was pleasantly surprised, each and every staff member I encountered on my stay there, from the security, the receptionist, cleaners, nurses, sisters and doctors took utmost pride in their work and was extremely professional.
Do not expect a 5 star hotel, it is a State funded facility, but be sure you will be well cared for once you are in the system.
My eternal gratitude and thanks go out to the staff and Doctors of Livingstone Hospital.

Gratitude towards the drs and nurses in ,casualty, poc, ward p1 and 4b, not forgetting the nurses who assisted with the heart scans, the radiographers and all the role players for the great care they took of my mother,Magdalene Barties, in June and this past week when she was admitted twice . My mother thanks each one for their kind and friendly assistance even though they are inundated with
work they never made her feel like a burden. They even transported her to Provincial hospital for her eye appointment while she was a patient at Livingstone.
When my brother rushed her there, they were helped immediately, The same now in July. My dad was also a patient in 2018 and also received excellent care. Thank you to every one who assisted and for the care and humanity shown to the patients, it is greatly appreciated. Super impressed with the service received . Your efforts do not go unnoticed and I pray that God bless you all and continues to carry you and give you the strength to carry on with the great work . Truly a remarkable experience and proud to say that it wasn't the first time. Even the clinic I can testify of great service there.

Very undignified manner that patients are Treated so sad ???? Nurses act as if they are doing patients an favor to assist them. NO HUMAN BEING SHOULD BE TREATED SO BAD ON THEIR DYING BED CALLING FOR ASSISTANCE NO REPLY FROM STAFF... THERE IS A FEW NURSES THAT ARE LIKE ANGEL ???? VERY HELPFUL..DR PARKER POC U ARE AN GOD SENT TO LIVINGSTON HOSPITAL I SALUTE YOU FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE FOR MY MOM.....

Mr Leech (OOPD) always outstanding service always..
I have never seen someone so caring,compassionate for the people.
Always making coming to the hospital a joy.

My first time in this hospital and I am shocked at the conditions. I thought I was leaving my aunt in good hands. Sadly, she passed after 24 hours in their care:

1. Nobody phoned me to inform me of her condition. I had to go to the hospital as the phones go unanswered.
2. I arrive at receptionist - nobody even bothered to look up or help. I ended up walking around the hospital and found someone who said she is in High care
3. I get two nurses in High Care and I let them know I brought clothes for my aunt. I point to my aunt laying on the bed. The nurse says I must go around to the other office. She took me to a doctor on duty. She precedes to tell me there is not enough oxygen due to an overdose of prescription tablets she took and it's not looking good. Nobody even bothered to phone to let me know the severity of her condition. She passed one hour after I left the hospital - they then bothered to actually phone.
4. I went back today to fetch my aunt's ID and belongings. The nurse said she wasn't here when my aunt came in. I don't care if you were not there, just search for the ID. Eventually got it after she searched the cupboards.
5. The place is filthy and I have never seen such rude and uncompassionate nurses in my life.

This place should be shut down - whoever is running this hospital does not know what they are doing.

I took my father in law for a CT scan today and it was such an amazing experience to encounter the staff of the CT scan unit.
The staff were friendly, hospitable and helpful.
You could actually feel the care in the atmosphere.

My plea to public servants is to please help us where you can and from what I've seen with this mornings experience, it is possible to do it with care and pride.
