Not sure how I feel about the hospital. All I’ve heard is horrible things and what I’ve seen with my gran now can truly see a lot of them are truthful.

She sat in trauma while her very own doctor wouldn’t go see her till the next day. When going to drop things off for her the nurse was so rude snatched the items out of my hand.

Going in to see her today with special permission due to her health, some of the nurses are kind and helpful but others don’t know why you nurses if your not willing to help.

All in all it’s a clean place, still don’t see why you can’t have normal visitors (in non Covid areas) and why can’t any of the doctors and nurses when you call help and actually call you back instead of making you run around for them.

This is a sham of a private hospital! What is the point of medical aid when one must go here?.
I injured and hurt my knee and went to the doctor, where it was recommended I go to casualty because of the loadshedding etc (their equipment) and the doctors were full.

I get to greenacres and they triage me, the elderly nurse was very rude and told me why did I come here? Any doctor could deal with it? I was then told it’s a seven hour wait and they want a lot of useless information like exact dates of Covid vaccines (can’t you take my word that I’ve had them all) (they asked me this twice) and other useless information like occupation (not great when someone is in pain)

I was then told I would have to wait several hours. I just left and found an after hours doctor to treat me.

Honestly worst medical service I have ever received! They are clearly understaffed and need to hire some more staff to deal with the demand. The toilets were also very dirty and there is nothing that distinguishes them from a government hospital honestly.

Arrived with my sick son at emergency to find very few patients at 6pm. My son got to triage soon after that, along with a load of paperwork for me. All good so far.

Then the information vacuum "government service type wait started". Staff all very busy doing anything but deal with patients. Patients started complaining and walking out. Sick people started sleeping on the uncomfortable metal chairs. One child had some sort of seizure at which point the mother started shouting that she had told the reception staff this would happen. The one and only guy who seemed to be working took her away.

Needless to say, 4 hours and 4 vomits later, my son was whisked away to get treated. I was rudely told to wait outside. With the track record so far, not expecting any type of good care here, but hopefully I will be pleasantly surprised. Not very likely though !!!

Update - another hour wait to see the doctor. I had to sneak a peek to find out what was happening. Not bad emergency response, just 5 hours wait, so far.

I am a mushroom sitting in the waiting room !!!!

Newbies keep arriving, eagerly looking for good service in an emergency. Shame on you Greenacres PRIVATE hospital ......

The ER consulting section of the hospital is the pits.

I’ve been here a few times personally and helping family members.

Each time I have been made to wait more than 2 hours, just sitting on a bed.

Not being seen to. No tests, no updates. The doctor on duty will do a cursory investigation and never be seen again.

These people are either incompetent or negligent toward patients. Do not use them

Absolutely disgusted. My grandfather was rushed to Greenacres Hospital after collapsing in excruciating pain and being completely unable to move his legs or walk. The nurses in the ER were completely uninterested and so was the doctor tending to him. After a blood test and poking his leg she told him that he must go home as there is nothing wrong with him and this is just part of being old. He couldn't move his legs! Hours spent in the ER for a single blood test. So disappointed. This is a private facility. Do better.

In December i went to casualty i was not pleased with the service at all. The waiting hours to be attended are extremely long. Nurses and doctors take there own time to attend to you. I arrived there before 9am. I was sitting n the reception area from that time only went in to the casualty after 12. I was discharged after 3am. Must say poor service. Only 1 doctor on duty. With lots of nurses standing around

Horrible horrible horrible hospital. With no exaggeration, you'd get the same service at a public hospital.

My mother fell and sprained her ankle and got swollen. We arrived there today (09 July 2022) at 13:00
As we walked in we were asked to take a seat and that someone would be with us shortly. After a 15-20 minute wait, we went to triage and we were told that we would have to be patient because the doctors were very busy and there were 15 people in front of us. Long story short, we left there at 19:00.

It took them 6 hours to serve 15 people! This is THE WORST private hospital I've ever been to. The staff is busy walking up and down doing everything except helping patients! I would not recommend anyone to go there especially if you're in pain.
