A really great store, well stocked, with friendly staff. The variety and quality of the food outstanding. It's great to have a budget option and premium option within all grocery categories. The premium quality fruit and cheese are truly excellent. They have the best camembert I've ever bought from a chain supermarket, squishy, ripe and flavorful (brand: forage and feast). Also, their sourdough baguettes are lovely, especially after popping them into the oven to crisp up the crust before serving. I could go on. It's great. 'Nuff said.

Staff aren't friendly or helpful, but the selection is good. Watch out for till fraud - we discovered that the teller drew cash as well for herself. I approached head office about this when I saw it on my bank statement, but no one ever came back to me. They won't be seeing us again.

Awesome newly upgraded Checkers with a Kauai and Star Bucks on site! Fresh produce, great selection of cured meat in the meat deli, nice butchery, bakery, fresh fish and the cooked food and salad bar section are huge! I can highly recommend this Checkers in Hermanus.

Always clean. Able to grab what I need and head out. Also love that the Kauai is housed in store for a healthy smoothie while shopping.

Checkers moved the shelves around a bit but the flow is much better even if it takes a bit of extra time to find the groceries now. Still great options and a great shopping experience.

Living in a nearby town, I don't shop that frequently at this Checkers branch. I did, however, shop there yesterday (Friday 10 June) There was quite a few specials, which is obviously great, but the butchery was disappointing. Firstly there was no lamb (or sheep) knuckle, and hardly any stewing lamb (sheep) on the shelves, which I really wanted. Secondly, the staff at the butchery was disorganised and it took a while to get service. I bought some chicken and beef sosaties from the fresh tray (one lady eventually helped me, then disappeared, someone else eventually gave me the wrapped sosaties). Big surprise when tonight (one day later), I opened the chicken sosaties to braai, and was met with the stench of rotten chicken. And it's not even worth taking it back, given current fuel prices.

Lots of improvement since the recent renovations... And the queue system works like a 21st Century shop... Well done
