Undoubtedly the best take away fish and chips in the Western Cape. Fresh fish, generous portion sizes, great value. Food is cooked fresh so there can be a wait at busy times, but there are some quaint streets, art galleries and shops nearby which are worth a stroll through whilst you wait for your food. I have been here many times and have never been disappointed.

JP's is seriously the best fish and chips takeout in town. Freshly caught, tasty and individually cooked. It's not quick, as they only start cooking after you order, but it is sooo worth the wait! Pensioners have a special on wednesday. Expect a queue - it's seriously popular and runs only during the day.

Their fish and chips is always a nice and very tasty meal and we really enjoy the pensioner's special on Wednesdays. The mostly long wait till your order is ready is always worth the wait.

if I could review as zero I would. Bought hake u0026 chips and calamari u0026 chips on Thursday 28th March around 3pm.
Both meals were utterly inedible. The chips had clearly been lying in Luke warm oil for hours, wrinkly, soggy and even our dogs turned their noses to them.
Hake was a soggy mush,i managed a few. fork fulls and had diarrhea all day today. Luckily my husband managed 4 pieces of his Calamari before we gave up on that as well.
in his words 'I didn't know you could ruin frozen calamari u0026 hake that badly, takes talent to do that. '
All inedible. Went into the compost bin.

Just a small take away with some outside seating.But gr8 pricing and fish is really good and fresh daily.Pensioner specials and others.5 STARS.

Fish u0026 chips was prepared fresh whilst we wait. Large portions were served for our take-away
