We celebrated a birthday at Crowbar, and I was very impressed with this venue. The upstairs area is family-friendly and spacious.
We were in the dungeon where we had a great experience.
The birthday girl had pre-ordered sandwich platters which were delicious. The DJ played a good mix of music that kept everyone on the dance floor.
There's a pool table which kept the teens occupied.
All in all it was a lovely night.

I ordered a pulled pork burger as everything on their website looks so mouth watering. But well to my surprise The burger was bland, no sauce whatsoever on the burger just looks like I put some carrot salad on. The mash they can do better. Actually very disappointed and will not go back.

Do yourself a favour and stay away from the lamb bunny chow. Honestly expected a proper bunny as the picture featured on their website. Had 2 bites and just can't, what a waste of R130. Crowbar really seems like a nice place but this meal has completely put me off.

Great local restaurant and bar. Prices are very reasonable both for food and drink.
Claire, manageress is fantastic as is Kaya the bartender. Nothing is ever to much trouble for them or any of the staff. Highly recommend. Thanks for the great service ????????

Probably the best steak I've had at any restaurant, ever. The decor is fantastic, music volume is low and the ambience is just right. Great selection of cocktails and an okay-ish whisky bar.

Not a cheap meal by any stretch of the imagination, I'd certainly say their pricing is more into the upper echelons and it's downright expensive for a pub. However this isn't a simple pub, it's a restaurant first and a pub second, and the food is just so good that it doesn't really feel like the pricing is unjustified.

One area that they consistently fail at is with the beers. When they had craft options available, the beers were always off. The macro producers are represented, but even then it's the popular drivel instead of the better offerings from the brewers. Of the dozen or so occasions that I have ordered a beer at this establishment, I've had to send it back each time because it was either spoilt or the keg was empty and I received a foam and yeast pour. I'll stick to the whiskies.

The staff are fantastic and attentive without being overbearing and in your face like so many places where they wait for you to shovel food into your mouth and then waltz up to ask "how's the meal" - None of that here.

All in all, a really great place to go for date night.

I ordered Grilled Calamari and a baked potato with sour cream. My baked potato was cold and was sent back. My husband finished his main meal when I received my food after being reheated. My Grilled Calamari came back and was reheated and tasted like rubber, but the baked potato returned cold. I even showed the manager that the sour cream did not meld.
Sorry Crowbar, but you will never see as again. So sad because we chose this restaurant to celebrate an achievement☹

Lovely little spot in a shopping centre so it has a lot of parking available. We have had their pizza which was fantastic and now their ribs which were great. Service is very efficient and friendly. Music choice is fantastic. Three TVs show current sport. All in all a great dining experience
