Promises made to us were not kept. The caretakers lacks peoples skills. Venue is well maintained however the rooms are not kept clean, bedding dont get changed not the best experience

Lodge name: Margate
Location: Back room of the main house NOT part of the lodges advertised and part of accommodation placed.
Hospitality: No service, only engagement is when you arrive and when key given. No interaction as to see if guests are satisfied.
Amenities: None for the backroom apartment
Hygiene: None, lack of cleanliness, shower didn't work.

The lack of hygiene was particularly concerning, especially considering that we’re going through the covid pandemic.
The room was not prepared for us prior to us arriving. The shower was not clean, and wasn’t functioning.

We were put in the back room of the main house, where the WIFI wasn’t working at all.
Very disappointed

Place was tranquil, chalet clean and care taker helpful. Ideal purely for relaxation. You forget about the Joburg rush even though lodge is in the city.

It's beautiful but had a bad experience when we got woken up in the middle of the night by people that slept in the same room the previous night and had left their belongings in the room so I'm guessing the room was doubly booked. filthy sheets

We enjoyed the stay, the place is beautiful, the staff is friendly and welcoming. It is peaceful and the
view is beautiful and we will definitely be back!
