Reviewing the rooftop bar. The views are just amazing! Go here on a warm evening. Great location for hiring for a party or corporate event. Great drinks and the DJ was awesome. The tapas are yummy - go for the sliders and halloumi.

First time coming to a "Roof Top bar" in JHB... and won't be the last.... Great views, great service and the DJ spinning great vibes. Parking is secure inside the building. Take the lift up to the hotel then hotel to the roof. Wide range of drinks and menu on offer. Food was excellent

We came from Cape Town to watch the Bokke vs All Blacks at Ellis Park as it's all a 7 minute walk from the hotel. Driving in here the area looked dodgy and I wasn't too sure. When we stopped and entered the place we were pleasantly surprised from the beginning of our stay until the end.. Everyone was just so friendly and professional and the place was just so pleasantly secure and safe. The rooftop clearly is the cherry on top. Beautiful and awesome experience.

Clean and stylish hotel including restaurant.

Please be aware that it is located in a dodgy area so don't just walk around in the street where the hotel is located.

The only noteworthy downside is that the rooms are quite dark as the lightning is not sufficient for such high ceilings.

Really one of the worst places I have ever stayed at. Rooms are not what are advertised. No management action when you complain. Bedding and towels were not refreshed and the place was not clean inside. The rooms are intensely hot with no air-conditioning. Noisy near the trains. I left after one day when the stay was planned for longer.

Great rooftop bar in Jozi! Staff are helpful and friendly. We had cocktails and lovely tapas to eat. Great little inner city vibe. Beautiful views.

What a hidden gem - brought back so much nostalgia. Joburg has its skyline and a pulse and what better place to show it off and experience this from within this awesome hotel. The owners have really taken a chance - they seem to be one of the few who have invested heart, soul and a whole lot of money in an area that is notoriously a no-go.
And therein lies the beauty.
My daughter and her husband wanted an urban wedding - the guests were blown away. All a little mystified that they weren’t going to go the safe route with garden, chapel etc, guests booked in for the night and partied till the early hours of the morning.
The rooms are beautiful, clean and many are particularly spacious.
The rooftop bar is beyond awesome and a place where guests and visitors alike can chill or dance. (No judgement, everyone is super cool with whatever and whoever)
You have to try their cocktails.
Visually, besides the 360 degree views of Jozi, urban artwork adorns the walls and there are many instagramable opportunities.
Then, you can be treated to an evening of jazz (this band is beyond world-class) and the most scrumptious meal in the basement restaurant/jazz club of this hotel.
If you have the moola, check into the penthouse suite … which is affordable as far as penthouses go. There are so many other surprises including the likes of well-known musos (local and international) who just happen to stumble in.
Kudos to the team who bend over backwards to accommodate guests’ every need.
They’ve survived the pandemic, support this spot now while it’s still pretty unknown and affordable cos I have a feeling in a year or two it’s going to be trending big time.
Oh yes, there’s ample parking and loads of security.
