A lovely hike with well marked routes. We did the 6km hike/walk, easy enough for beginners, a gradual climb up to a great 360° view. Nice to go on a weekday if you can because the trail is also the 4x4 track in some places and gets busy on the weekends. Make sure to wear good shoes as the ground is uneven. We finished off the hike with a good cappuccino at the restaurant there, also very good prices.

Took the dogs for a 6.9km hike today.

The hike was relatively easy with a manageable incline that lasts about 3kms. The majority of this trail is in the sun, we arrived abit later than planned and needed to to stop regularly to keep the boys hydrated. If you do decide to give Hobby a try please start early and bring plenty of water, the heat gets extreme. Besides the fishing spot early on there is no water or shade on route until the trail loops back to the dam.

The hike does not have a large diversity in scenery and terrain but is a very safe venue to explore if safety is a concern. The location is also ideal if you are looking for a hike close to Fourways.

Entrance is R50 per person, no booking required and is payable via card or cash.

Other activities include mountain biking, 4x4 trails, fishing, paintball and a restaurant on site.

Absolutely breathe taking trails. Been here 3 times and I will be coming back again. If you looking for a tough, naley trail with some views, this is it! Enjoy !

Fun was had and I like the fact that the stuff is friendly and available when u need them and they answer your questions clearly you drive out that place with a smile on your face and looking forward to returning

Hiking, mountain biking, 4x4 trail….all kinds of activities. Beautiful day out. Had so much laughs and fun. All different lengths of trails and marked clearly. Can have a braai after a fun filled day. Easy 10km done and dusted ????????u200d♀️????????

Great venue. Reasonably priced.
Lots to do (Hike, Mountain bike, 4x4, Braai, picnic, Paintball). Clean. Friendly staff. Great and challenging terrain. Highly recommended family and adventure get away only 45 mins from Sandton.

Very nice place. Plenty to do. Hiking, take your doggy friends with. 4x4 trails. Cycling. Plenty parking and good food. Can also smoke there. Wonderful
