The chef and his team are soulful and homely. You can even order for home meals. Kind meal you want to have in a Meta’s metaverse.

The dishes are tasty and just good enough portions.

It’s all round value for money

Feels inclusive and spacious

The garden outdoor apace is great vibes for breakfast, brunch and lunch.

Easy access.

The music is old school - for example they were playing Just A Gigolo - Louis and Ella - one of the the greatest music duo to ever grace this earth. Even in metaverse they rock harder.

The best calf liver in the whole of Joburg. We come back here time and time again and never leave out the liver. Ciro, the owner is popular with his patrons as he goes around the restaurant, there is familiarity and warmth.

This is what we had.

Thinly sliced calves liver with Spanish onions served with mash potato and mixed veggies. Home away from home - cooked with love.

Marinated artichokes with Parmesan u0026 fontina cheese. Great potion.

Decadent double chocolate brownies with vanilla ice cream

Chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream. Delicious. You can taste that they used dark chocolate and the sweetness is just right.

The restaurant had to add revenue streams due to COVID so now Ciro has added a small Deli with take away and frozen meals and desserts.

Highly Highly Recommended.

Our first visit and boy were we impressed. Great ambiance, lovely setting and decor. Good efficient and friendly staff. Aside from the set menu there are also specials that the chef mentions at the table. I was surely impressed with my baked salmon which I requested as rare and rarely do I get it as requested. Moroccan soup and cauliflower fritters for starters was a winner. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals.

Yes we will definitely be back!

Had a lovely dinner with superb starters. Octopus was divine! Service, although wonderful was a little too involved in the dinner. I would have liked to see more options for main course.

Nice restaurant, the decor is very interesting and it creates a nice ambiance. The food was nice and there was a good variety of dishes. The waiters were top class. They were extremely friendly and helpful and they made the experience much more enjoyable.

This place is an absolute gem! The best deserts in South Africa!

From 5 stars to 1. A disaster of a breakfast. We’ve waited for nearly 1 hour (no joke) for a very mediocre food. Kid’s crumpets were hard and chewy. The table has been dirty for almost 30 minutes. Nobody cared.

Very sad, as the lunch/supper side of the restaurant is brilliant...
