The service was lovely. The staff are so friendly, courteous and professional My shower head wasn't working and it was sorted out quickly. I forgot safe key and they assisted me quickly and with a smile.

My only point of contention was the sofa in the room...it really needs to be upholstered...

The staff were great, very welcoming. They made me something traditionally African to eat because there wasn't anything on the menu. The cleaner only cleaned one of the 3 days I was there. The room was very cool (it was winter) so I had to put the portable heater on all the time. The bed was nice and the room was fine for a few days

The address on Google was wrong so it was hard to find and they don't have a website so it was harder to find. It wasn't great that they had no internet presence. The place itself was okay, the rooms were big, the pool was damaged and the restaurant was okay. It wasn't the best experience but not the worst either. The couch had stains on it though so there is that.

What a bad experience I had. I arrived to find that they are still busy cleaning my room. I asked for an iron and iron board at reception but had to phone again before they brought it to my room. Empty dispensers, skew and loose toilet seat, soap holder, kitchen tap. Coffee make with no coffee pods. Dirty stains on carpet in passage. Broken lock on front door. Room service arrived and the gentlemen asked me to pour out some tomato sauce in a plate as he needs to take the bottle back.
I cannot understand how this can be a 4 star. 1 Star? Maybe.

This is my home away from home. Whenever I miss Jozi and wanna pop in for a young stay,it's my first and only choice. The rooms are lovely and spacious with all the amenities that you may want. It's in a perfectly peaceful corner of the city. I haven't been to the underground bar but the last time I did, there was a daily happy hour from 5pm to 6pm and on the ground floor there's a restaurant The Marshall

The hotel is clean with very spacious rooms, a little kitchenette and lounge. The people are welcoming and friendly. Two recommendations - Do not choose the rooms that face inward towards the pool. Very, Very noisy if people are sitting by the outside area. Add "inside" curtains to these rooms for privacy. Closing the lined curtains makes the room dark and if its during the day you want the natural light to come in but still have privacy.

I love this place. I've been to the restaurant three time, once when attending a party hosted there. The staff were professional, helpful and accommodating. The food was amazing, and even catered to my dietary specifications; the veggie burger they serve there is succulent and flavorful. The cocktails pack a punch. As an unexpected treat we were given a private guided tour to the vault underground that was once used to store gold long before the building was converted into a hotel. I definitely recommend this place, a solid 5 stars.
