Almost ran completely late for an event that we were working at because of unwillingness to help on staff/management's part - room was booked overseas by a third party and the hotel wouldn't let us check in without the card that paid for the room? Even a photo or a letter wouldn't suffice - apparently Nightsbridge's new policy starting 2 days before that... Anyway, the argument continued for 20 minutes (started with us running perfectly on time), and then a further 20 after we got back (we thought we would quickly check in and drop off our bags to come back and get ready after a meeting). We eventually found a resolution (suggested by ourselves out of desperation because we were so bloody late by now) to pay for the room AGAIN on a separate card (thankfully the international guest who was responsible for the room had a second card on her so we didn't have an admin story between ourselves for later too), so we could check in. The manager was being pretty rude and impatient when I walked in, I don't know if that's how to speak to customers regardless of how annoying you perceive them. The room was fine. Not good, just fine. Not rushing back, or recommending to travellers.
