Best place I've been this year and I must say I enjoyed my stay. Best service and enough space for one to feel comfortable. Loved the place and will definitely be back for me.

I booked the place for my brother he slept there without any issues. The house had great vibes, it is secured , it is quiet and the host was very friendly.It is about 30 seconds walk to a vast of restaurants and bars.

Always enjoy my stays here. Greg is not only extremely helpful but as a wheelchair user always makes sure that I am comfortable. Great space and extremely safe

I've stayed at Sleepy Gecko on several occasions. The rooms are spacious and clean. The proximity to the awesome Melville vibe is within walking distance. Greg is always accommodating and a great host. Highly recommend.

So Mr Greg Bloom of Sleepy Gecko told us he wont offer us Rooms after we had deposited money into his account we tried to commemorate with him but he blocked our emails, he then hangs up our calls when we try to find a way to receive our refund from him it's been three weeks now and there is no form of payment/refund. We had submitted our proof of payment to him just to to claim our refund but still doesn't want to refund us. Mind due Greg only gave us 30minutes to pay into his account which we did in just 4 minutes. So I don't recommend him as a good business man and I think his taking advantage because of the colour of my skin. I'm emotional truamatised because of this whole situation. He had told us once we send him our proof of payment he will refund but he is not a man of his word. No refund till today.

We stayed at the Sleepy Gecko for 8 nights and absolutely loved this place! Greg, the host, is fabulous; always ready to help us with anything we needed! Our room was big, clean with a beautiful bay window facing a gorgeous garden. I also loved the decoration of the place, I felt totally at home here! I will definitively try to stay here the next time I come to Johannesburg! Also the Sleeping Gecko is at walking distance to nice restaurants!

Absolutely lovely stay at the sleepy Gecko
I had a beautiful 2 nights of rest and might be considering staying a third night.The host was exceptionally welcoming and made me feel very welcomed here
I will definitely reccomend this place to anyone looking for a good accomodation
