The slowest service I've ever experienced at any Spar in the country (only one till open during lunch time, the second till was temporarily closed because the cleaner was CASUALLY mopping the floor, while chatting to the cashier.

First time going there and certainly the last!!!

They take too long to prepare food because the cooks stop and chat with each other in the middle of serving.

Horrible cooked food. Dry fish and overly crispy chips. Poor hygiene too, green flies on salads, I wanted to jump over the counter and swat them - I was annoyed and disgusted at the same time.

No condiments - had to ask them to refill the vinegar and again, the lady went to get the vinegar but not without stopping to chat to her colleague.

I think employees there think they are at some social gathering!

It's always one of those stores I can trust to be open if I've been working late and need to do that last min shopping. The securities by the doors clearly don't know they job role and always seem to be louder than the vehicles on the streets. It is constantly busy which is also a good thing, which shows that it's a community favourite.

Extremely helpful staff. Manager goes put his way to assist. The convenience of ordering from the butchery and meat is packed and ready to collect within a short period is an added bonus. Great specials...

Shop is clean, staff are friendly and helpful. Gets a bit claustrophobic when it's busy, isles are a bit small difficult passing people and avoiding trollies. Pricing is very reasonable even some items that are not on special.

Worse service ever. Kitchen is always filthy except when Mamzo is there. When you ask them to atleast tidy up the place before serving you the food, they give you attitude.

This has become a go to place for affordable fruit, veg and meat. I'm however not pleased with the shelflife of the perishables. The fruit and veggies simple go bad within a week. Unfortunately you can freeze all veggies and this could be problematic for people who can't afford a weekly drive to get to the spar. Were it not for this factor I'd rate this spar 5 stars based on affordability especially considering how expensive food has become. The staff is friendly too. Also their specials run for 4 days out of 7 and it it halal friendly for those who'd like to know.

Items on special are cheap but the non special items are extra expensive. So you'll buy potatoes for R30 but the onions are R80.
