The Grillhouse Rosebank

Contrary to a normal grill house, the muscles and snails were by far superior to the main course grill. If you do have anything off the grill, I do suggest a sauce as it can be bland. The waiters are attentive and always there in an instant. Drinks were on the average side, but a good variety. Overall a good atmosphere, but is on the pricey side.
This restaurant gets a 7/10

A truly exceptional restaurant. Excellent food, both classical and more contemporary dishes executed with precision. The atmosphere is great, the service professional and the kitchen is fast.

Quite easily the best steakhouse in South Africa.

Enjoyed a fantastic dinner. Ordered Beef Ribs and Chicken Schnitzel as the mains. The ribs was definitely a winner! Absolutely love the decor and atmosphere of The Grillhouse.

Awesomeness in a space with food fit for a king!!! Do yourself a favour and do NOT leave Joburg without a meal at The Grillhouse, Rosebank. You will drive back from any part of the country just to taste these super scrumptious steaks again.

Are you looking for a stylish, clean, serene restaurant with delicious food? For a date or intimate conversations with friends perhaps? - I highly recommend The Grillhouse Rosebank!

The service :
When I read the reviews I thought some patrons had exaggerated the service they received. They didn't! The moment we arrived we were treated with so much respect and importance. They have the best staff who listen carefully to your requests and make very helpful suggestions/recommendations. Interestingly, all staff were male and they work together like a well oiled German machine. I generally prefer being assisted by women but I was left so impressed.
I rate the service at 7 star!

The food:
Very deliciously made and well presented. The portions are big enough. The only complaint from my side was that the basting was a lot and too salty for my liking in both my starter and my partner's. So when we ordered the main we avoided the basting.
They don't have a cocktail drinks menu but they do make the popular ones and they come out very delicious.
The prices were very ideal for an upmarket restaurant in Rosebank.

The place:
Clean with comfortable sitting and views. Soft and matured music in the background. The bathrooms are very upmarket and super clean!

If it costs 1 person to eat steak in Korea, 4 people can eat enough here. The atmosphere is luxurious, the waiters are kind, and above all, the taste of meat is excellent.
