This branch is closed, nolonger a hotel, but Salisbury hotel nearby is nice but Only night sleeping

Super nice staff and very helpful. It's next to Gandhi square where there are place where you can grab something to eat (pizza, burguer etc.). Toilets and rooms are clean. It has a cozy chill out area and a nice rooftop! I would recommend it 100%!

The location is close to the Gandhi square, with good connections in transport. Also is pretty near to the main bus station.

The backpackers is clean, both the rooms and the toilets and showers (there are hot water). The rooftop is very nice and cozy, you can have your take away dinner at the terrace.

The best of all is the staff! All of them are very friendly and helpful, always willing to give a hand to the guests. Really, this really makes the difference with other similar places. We would come back when we'll visit Jo'Burg again! Thanks for everything!

We were on a city tour with JoburgPlaces . The rooftop bar could use a bit of cleaning up and we didnt see any of the rooms. But anyone who has the courage to open up a new buisness in this part of town deserves a good revieuw. Good luck guys, i love what you're doing !

Urban is fine if you just need a bed to crash in. Other than that, I would NEVER stay there again. The hostel is very dilapidated and I never felt safe there. The wifi did not work at all. The kitchen wasn't clean. The photos of their website are not up to date. The night staff was also very unhelpful and confusing. I was in a group of three and the receptionist had us in a double room (even though we reserved dorm beds). He could NOT tell us if there were two or three beds in the room. This ended up working out but we were charged for a private room instead of the dorm beds we wanted. The next morning, we were trying to ask what the area the bus station was in and he literally said "the station of the bus." Thankfully our uber was more informed.

I've stayed in many places in Southern Africa and this is, by far, the worst. Trust me and pay another dollar to stay somewhere else.

Very amazing people, hospitality like never experienced before abroad not forgetting the fact that the staff goes out of its way to do for you stuff just so you are comfortable. I will surely have another visit when I return to Jo'burg. Thank you Urban Backpackers for this experience. God bless
