First, they don't publish their menu, Second, they ensure to accommodate vegans, vegetarians, meat u0026 fish lovers all the like, and lastly you get to connect with people whom you'd never thought you'd meet whilst enjoying AMAAAAAAAAZING food!

Sanza is a very nice host who showed me around in Braamfontein and Yeoville. He has many friends in the neighbourhoods and you can feel his love to this place and the people living there. He has many stories and insights to share. The pan-African cuisines that he makes are spiritual and rich in tastes, just like the diversities and creativity of Johannesburg.

An absolute must do in Johannesburg. Do not miss. The food is truly pan African. And the flavours of Afrika are delicious. Do take the opportunity to go dancing next door after dinner. Sanza is a perfect host and can tell you many stories about Yeoville. What a treat this was!

On Thursday last we went to the Yeoville Dinner Club for a meal of delicious pan-African dishes.
The proprietor, Sanza, is a neighbour of ours and when cooking sauces at home, sends out these heavenly, slightly spicy fragrances that make your mouth water.
Sanza has collected recipes from about 27 countries in Africa and slightly fine-tuned them for local foodie palates, getting plenty tips from the richly cross cultural restuarants in the vicinity.
Simple, subtle and wonderful flavors across about 10 dishes of which about 8 were vegetable based and 3 custom drinks.
The opening cocktail was excellent, a ginger post dinner drink sublimely ‘world-class’ and a sorghum beer and palm wine sampler to round off was strange, but good and I had a second.
Wine is BYO, with reds probably best suited to the food flavors.
The crowd was eclectic with about 50% local and 50% tourist, lively and chatty with a wide range of experiences, lots of chat and laughter.
I think 2-3 couples were repeat diners, bringing friends and visitors.
We were met at the Uber by one of Sanza’s friends and escorted upstairs to his restuarant, while a taxi was arranged for our drive home, so felt safe throughout.
All in all a great evening and one we will repeat.
The restuarant seats 14 and is currently heavily booked, out to mid-January!
A GREAT taste of Africa, not to be missed.

Stanza is the beating heart of Yeoville culture; the rich African knowledge and wisdom infuse all his dishes and lends a perspective on different ways of living and experience.
Give him a call, grab an uber and have an excellent night in crazy Yeoville!!

Rumor has it that my party was the first hosted at this carefully curated establishment. Sanza is your guide and able to provide a singular experience. In the heart of this challenged neighborhood he has carved out an oasis for Pan-African cuisine. Prepare to meet someone new at his communal table and taste something new from his community of off the grid chef friends. It does not seek to be the best restaurant in Johannesburg, but it has been my best food experience in South Africa.
