I had the opportunity to stay at the Emperors palace for three nights and I wanted to give you my honest opinion on what my stay was like.

I checked in on Sunday afternoon, to a full reception area and really wished that they would have more than one receptionist manning the desk. The actual check-in process was easy enough and I left there with my key card in hand. Got to my room and it was very nicely laid out. The room was neat and tidy. However I started to notice problems, not all of the lights worked and one of the toilets flush buttons was broken.

I woke up in the morning and had a shower only to find that it leaked, water running down the side of the tiles. Water pressure was still good though. Went downstairs for breakfast and the breakfast on offer was very nice. It was buffet style and had practically everything you could want from bacon all the way over to fruit. Breakfast is served from 06:30 until 11:00.
The omelettes made were really very nice.

Decided after a hard day's work to watch some TV, but the TV did not work. Annoyed with it I turned it off and watched Netflix via my Laptop.

The check out process was seamless but the wait to get to the front desk was long. Again too few staff manning the front desk. Also one final annoying thing is they deactivate your key card after a certain period but they don't tell you anywhere that this will happen. I know it is for security reasons but it would help to know ahead of time. Getting to your door only to be locked out, then having to walk all the way back to the front desk, stand in a queue and then walk all the way back to your room.
-- Summary--
- Place and rooms are very neat and stylish.
- Bed is comfortable and bedding is very nice.
- Breakfast on offer is very generous and food is of a good quality.
- Rooms do have minor maintenance related issues. This was reported by all my colleagues regarding their rooms.
- 3 out of 5 stars.
