Hidden gem of a restaurant. Really well curated menu of food, nice selection of wine. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Even with a quite small team, they management to feed a big group with excellent food. High recommendations.

Excellent food, great wine selection by glass. Traditional cooking style, but very well seasoned and with lots of side dishes (our main had 5), meat was cooked to perfection. All combined with a great price for value, very friendly service and the nice and cosy atmosphere let me recommend this place. Parking is free directly in front of the restaurant.

The other reviewers are all correct. This was also the best restaurant we have eaten at in years, so much so, we went back twice. Fantastic gourmet food, huge portions, good wine selection, and most importantly an incredible price.

Delicious food with a European touch. Besides the typical South African dishes which one might find all along the garden route Pembreys’ offer comprises traditional European dishes ‘with a South African twist’. Sea food was great, meat was en point, well seasoned, the service was excellent and the recommended wines went perfectly with the food.

Pleasing venue with a nicely designed building. There is a cosy fireplace for winter. The food is superb and Peter's Bread and Butter pudding is a revelation. The food is upmarket in style and delivers on taste, but price is reasonable giving good value for money. One to visit on your visit to the area.

A very special restaurant we enjoy on special occasions. Never disappointed with anything and as usual food superb. Thank you for always spoiling us Peter and Vivian and the wonderful people working for them.
