What an incredible experience. The staff are phenomenal, the rooms are in excellent condition, the views are breathtaking. What more could you ask for? Run by two lovely people who are warm and welcoming. Special mention goes to Blossom who was so extremely helpful and always making sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. Highly recommend!

Highly recommended!!! A great clean place to stay, with an amazing view over the lagoon. The service is just perfect from start to end! Especially the small things in-between, let yourself be surprised. Breakfast is made to order and very delicious.
The only recommendation for improvement would be to adjust the doors, as light was coming through the door frame at night as well as every sound which was canalized through the tiled floor.

I do not for a single moment regret anything about our stay at these premises. The suite is breathtakingly beautiful with humble and professional staff. The place was clean and tidy.

The room service, heating underfloor, breakfast set up and little gifts we got everytime we went out, was just magical, thank you.

I will definitely visit again and bring my friends too.

A mix of tradition and modernity. It is so elegant and relaxing.
This is a mansion that sits on the hills built in the (50's?60's?) restored and decorated tastefully. High up that it has a breathtaking view of the lagoon and the Knysna Heads, especially from the rooms on the top floors.
Service is like Daniel Boulud's--the servers wait inconspicuously, anticipating your needs with each move during those long, delightful breakfasts. But it doesn't feel intrusive at all. They all know and address you by your last name. Traditional and upscale.
The owners are a young couple who have been in the hospitality industry for decades and decided to open a hotel and then another. They are the modern, hip ones.
Their curated guide to restaurants, places to go and things to do is really helpful!
This was our favorite hotel in South Africa. Anyone staying in Knysna for a few nights should stay here!
