On 7 July 2022 my husband brought me to Kiaat Private hospital as I was having terrible pain in my abdomen while on holiday. We arrived at the hospital at 05:30. As we walked into the hospital the receptionist asked me what was the matter, and asked if my husband knows my details. She then send me through to emergencies immediately. The sister took my blood pressure, sugar levels, weight as I arrived. After a few minutes I was taken through to a bed. I only waited a few minutes for the doctor to arrive. I told him the problem. He examined me and told me I would have to go for a scan to see where the pain is coming from. Within a few minutes someone was there to draw blood and put a pain drip on. As soon as my results came back, I was send for my scan. The gentlemen ( Moses was his name if I recall correctly) was so gentle with me and explained every step of the procedure. He also explained that the goodies they were going to inject me with will burn and leave me with a burning sensation.

I was taken back to the emergency unit where we waited for the results. While we waited, the doctor on call returned twice to enquire if the tests have come in yet. The sister by this time has ordered me breakfast - how sweet! Eventually the doctor came back and explained the scans does not show anything, but if the pain persist I should consult my gynecologists'. He prescribed pain tablets and anti inflammatory Needless to say the pain did not go away. When I arrived back at home, I saw my gynecologists and need to go for a operation shortly.

I hereby want to give my compliments to the staff who assisted me for their service. I felt like I was the only patient and everybody was looking after me giving me the best service. THANK YOU! Please give my compliments to your staff. Mrs. M Grobbelaar.

My daughter attack by Asthma she couldn't breath well I've rushed her to Kiaat Hospital I was so so emotional ???????????????? park in front of emergency door rush inside ask for help sisters from vital sign room took her to emergency units an she got help and admitted to Paediatric Ward ❤️❤️ a caring ward.

Thanks to Manager Sylvia for checking patient ???? experience I've never had. ❤️

Doctor Shibambu always checking patient before we sleep and every morning how patient coping. Giving us feedback of patient and thanks you for treating my daughter on 5days she got admitted

Yes is noisy during night and no privacy (everyone who's sick during day is normal but at night pain getting worse needed attention)

If you need privacy choose other hospital, Recommend Kiaat as caring hospital you'll never regret staff are so ????????????????????????????????????

Worse communication ever from a private hospital. Made an appointment with the physician for my mother we were only told when we got to the hospital at 9am that no the dr will attend us after 5pm.worse I drove from lydenburg early to come sit till 5pm...stuff members gave us attitude when we asked why didn't they inform us that the dr starts at the hospital before he attends appointment that moment we called the day before to confirm the appointment

Paediatric unit and doctor Louw are truly amazing. Took my daughter today to see him, which he made time to see us between rounds, explained everything in detail and treated her amazingly. Incredible hospital and incredible staff. Thank you to everyone there

My wife was admitted yesterday by ambulance in a comatose condition. Despite this she was first seen by a doctor TODAY - 26 hours after admittance. Shocking.
Staff loud, slovenly and unhelpful. I would not recommend this hospital.

The worst hospital i have ever been to, they diagnosed my 4month old with a "very serious illness" admitted him to the ICU and then sent him via ambulance to joburg which then turned out when we got to a normal hospital that the "very serious illness" wasnt serious at all and had completley traumatised us and my child for no reason other than money. The staff are rude and the doctors are terrible. Death trap. Dont go here. Avoid at all costs

The service and treatment at this hospital in on par with the services you'd receive at a government hospital. ( casual and laid back approach to everything)

Little to no communication about anything.

Ladies if you will be admitted bring your own shower cap coz u won't get one .

Their entire staff is left to exercise their discretion about daily operations ( what they feel goes) .. eg 1 vistor per patient next all of a sudden another patient is allowed 5 vistors ( thier ignorance of how private health care is run simply amuses me)

My personal opinion is that people who rate this hospital highly only do so because they have little to no exposure of proper private health care
