Oceans Bar and Bistro

We went to Oceans on 7 August with our family of 18 people. Almost all of us got Gastro from the Buffet. Our poor Granny landed up in Hospital for 5 days due to the Gastro and is still not fully recovered. We have tried to phone the managers but have not been able to speak to them. We do not recommend eating there.

Buffet lunch. Absolutely worth every cent. Also had a supper which was very well cooked and presented. Really a must for the whole family.

I must commend Elize and her team. There is only one word to describe all the hard work, dedication and personal attention they have given for arranging my daughter's wedding this past Saturday and that is: MAGNIFICENT!

The Restaurant itself has a rustic interior, which looks amazing and is actually the perfect style for the seafood.

The view is beautiful as you overlook the ocean with nothing obstructing the view as there are also seats outside which I recommend as the weather is usually perfect for sitting outside.

Their service is extremely fast as they served a platter we ordered faster than any restaurant I've been to was able to serve drinks. That they serve even faster.
The waiters are extremely friendly and the floor manager regularly checks on the tables, not annoyingly.

I have always been pleased with the food there, though some of it has a large price. It is worth it though.

The restaurant set up is excellent, breakfast start at 7am till 11h00 and its "supposed" to be a buffet breakfast. when we arrive at 9am there was no fruit juice at all, they had no plain yoghurt just vanilla and the food was not tasty and the presentation of the food was bad. When I asked about the fruit juice I was told , it was finished last night as they had a function the previous day. I wouldnt recommend this restaurant to anyone and I will not be using their services ever again. the accomodation is good unfortunately the level and the services of the restaurant will tarnish the good name of the Oceans View hotel accommodation since the restaurant is outsourced. the level of service the restaurant has is totally unacceptable.

The pizza was good and the service was very nice. However, the menu was much smaller than the other picture on this website and with no vegetarian options (I removed the meat from the pizza so it was ok, but no vegetarian pasta for example). Also, I was told that I wasn't allowed to connect to the wifi because I wasn't a guest so the place has no internet connection
