The rooms were very nice, better than the 3 stars would suggest in my opinion. They were comfortable, large, and the bathrooms were stunning. I enjoyed the "village" style design of the hotel as well, with all rooms facing inwards to the communal area.

My only issues were that the rooms got very cold, there is an oil heater in the room but it wasn't sufficient for the size of the room. The TV bouquet was almost useless, but that doesn't bother me. The Wi-Fi was very slow to the point of being unusable. The food at the restaurant wasn't good, it wasn't exactly bad, but it was probably the biggest "issue" of the stay.

It was nice to see that the entire hotel was being looked after, trees being trimmed, pool being cleaned, bins being emptied, etc. as we left.

I have experienced hospitality at many places but the Oceans Hotel offers a whole new experience. Friendly staff and really a beautiful place. Access to all the surrounding malls and the Garden Route. Value for money and Restaurant that offers beautiful breakfast, supper and lunch. Don't take my word for it. Experience it for yourself. Ask for Aunty Elize, she is our mommy when we stay there.

The Ocean's Hotel owners are a bunch of selfish soulless people. They have absolute no regard for nature and the wonderful creations that this earth is blessed with. Today they removed a tree that house hundreds of birds every single evening for many years. Nests where destroyed and and swarms of birds returned after a long days work, just to find that their home was destroyed.
I wonder, would the Hotel owners be upset if someone broke into the Hotel and steal their belongings? or demolished their property?

We booked a room for two and when we arrived we were shown a 3 bedroom right at the back of the hotel. We asked if there was not a smaller and cosier place closer to the Hotel entrance as there was no people staying in the front smaller rooms.
The receptionist was able to assist after calling her Manager.
The room was equipped for two but when we wanted to make coffee we was only given 1 small holder of milk for two people (See pics below) I approached reception and had to pay R15.00 for a packet which contained 2 x milk, coffee and teabags.
The breakfast was not included and we again had to pay R160.00 for this.
Well this is where the "One Star" give comes in
Your order has to be placed the previous day and once we had sat down and had our coffee the waiter came and informed us that their was no fish cakes available and could we choose another item from the menu
Food arrived ice cold so I took it back to the kitchen and it was warmed up in the micowave. Scrambled eggs had then formed a crust and went back to the kitchen untouched.
Cutlery on the set table was dirty and still had food on. When waiter was notified she said that the table had not been cleaned from the previous night and apologized
Well Im still trying to figure out what "people" as we were only two families booked into this Hotel. Needless to say we cancelled our breakfast for the next day .
Oceans Hotel will have to 'certainly " jack up" their services in many ways as Im sure we were not the only two persons who was or has not been happy with their stay at this Hotel which is ideally situated.

Went to eat the Lunch buffet and that was really not great except for the chicken however the normal menu food it's very tasty. I would definitely recommend eating off the normal menu, you won't be disappointed.
