What a lovely place to have our last dinner before leaving Oudtshoorn this morning. Very friendly, helpful and happy staff. A quaint restaurant. We chose Nostalgie because of their vegetarian options. We were feeling a bit meated-out. We had the vegetable korma curry and the vegetarian wrap. Both were delicious. The cocktail selection is also a delight. I had the Naked Naartjie - citrus based - refreshing. Well worth a visit. Thanks!

Flippen brilliant. ( hubby's words) I was not expecting this when we came here. We sat down, ordered. They brought our food so quickly (I prepared myself to wait a while, were a large group, including kids) and all the dishes came at once. Everyone could eat together. Food was perfect! Their burger was out of this world and the steak was just perfect. Not overcooked, underdone or cold. Encore! (I am not exaggerating!) I understand why this place is rated nr. 1 on trip advisor.

Ate here after going to the ostrich farm. The menu looked good and we decided to go based on reviews from a Facebook group.
Overall the experience was nice but the service wasn't the best but on a South African level it was good.

We decided to get a soup and salad to start - the soup was supposed to come with bread but didn't. The salad was a Greek salad but didn't have any feta cheese. How can you have a Greek salad on the menu and call it a Greek salad when there is not feta included in the salad!?

For our mains, we ordered ostrich fillet and a sweet potato with grilled ostrich. Both were good and it was a nice experience trying ostrich - the meat is a bit like beef but sweetish.

Eating here was nice, the food was good but I don't think it would be top of my list to return again. I think if you are looking for a cute/Quant place, definitely come and eat the ostrich but don't expect it to be above and beyond.

A lovely restaurant. Delicious food (large portions, too) at a very reasonable price. Amazing Dom Pedros and cheese cake. The staff is excellent and we had a lovely lunch in the shade underneath the trees. We'll worth a visit.

Even with load shedding, the food was fresh u0026 tasty. My favroute dish is the Deep-fried Camembert, topped with a green fig and green salad, served with Melba toast.Great dish for a light meal (under the menu as a "starter").

Quaint place, antique items on display. My word the softest and tasty Ostrich Shank...YUMMMMM Hubby was more than happy with his Ostrich Filet. Our waitress was a pleasant lady as well. The chocolate cake with ice cream was smothered in chocolate sauce. The sauce was delicious however the cake was more a dense thin pudding. Overall I would have loved to try the Bobotie, frikkadels...the whole menu! When driving through Oudtshoorn, go have lunch there. Oh and their homemade lemonade was just as good. Inside you can buy fudge, date balls, preserves, the lemon- and pomegranate syrup too. Thank you Nostalgie for great service and food
