I fell into the lap of luxury here after a 4 day hike in the Baviaanskloof. I washed off dust and grime with Charlotte Rhys and fresh white towels in a well accessoried bathroom. And passed out on the softest bed in a modern romantic bedroom.

Their restaurant were welcoming and accommodating and the food was flavorful and generous.

The Rosenhof country house quietly surprised me and is a true hidden gem.

A tranquil and delightful hotel on the northern edge of town. Most rooms are clustered around a small ornamental garden and inward-facing verandahs are great spots to rest with a drink before diner. There is a gallery, a pool and a gym but the old farmhouse containing reception, lounges, the bar and dining rooms is best. It's a fine old characterful building making the whole place a great base from which to explore the area's attractions.

Highs:
Reception - there was confusion about our booking but they made it up with a complimentary dinner apology and the dinner was lovely. Juanita is welcoming , friendly and sincere.

Service - Mama Grootboom and Mandisi were amazing amazing amazing - great service. They are a true benchmark for service excellence.

Dinner - lovely, tasty, simple and basic yet well done. It can suit different palettes for sure.

Sleep and Bed - was great , I even forgot where I was. Amazing bed.

Breakfast - 5 star ⭐️. And service 7 Star, you will love the breakfast room and pool area.Every person here including Sisi Mamfene was amazing, respectful, happy and welcoming.

Lows ( to improve ):
Signage to the place is poor at night time and it’s hard to find on a rainy night. Maps or Waze sent us past , they the sign on the road needs to be fixed as it sends you past the place.

Beautiful property with lovely pool, friendly staff and very comfortable room. I would recommend you stay two nights to be able to fully enjoy the splendour of this historic property
