The service was shockingly poor. We made a booking for a party of 8. After realizing we were running late, we phoned to postpone our booking by 30 minutes. When arriving exactly at our re-arranged time, we found our table was given away. Our booking was not changed and even though they took my mobile number, they never bothered to phone us before giving our table away. Manager was not helpful in assisting with a solution either.
We made some half measure plan and continued to order. After waiting for an hour, with no follow-up from our waitress, we inquired about our food. Then suddenly our food arrived... cold! Again, no acknowledgment from the manager that they should have performed better, suggesting that this is quite acceptable. Food was average and for sure not worth the wait.
Views from the terrace over the vineyards are great, and that is the only reason why I give this restaurant a single star.

Average, no specials givens or made aware of with the place being busy. The burger was okay, chips we initially received were not up to standard, had to make them aware of what quality they were sending out before receiving fresh chips. In addition we had a number of waiters, had to catch one of them to remind them of our order extra sauce and a tonic only which took a ridiculous time to be served considering only the can had to brought to the table. Also noticed that the power went off a couple of times, not sure if it tripped or what was causing it

Not bad but the food was mostly disappointing. The ribs were extremely dry with 2 of our guests that ordered it. The paarl burger was good but not great. The gin was cold at least. The only positive thing about the food was the vegetarian options. The mushroom pesto burger and the house salad got good reviews at our table. The house salad had almost no leaves. Mostly bulky salad and a delicious lemon dressing. There are many activities at Spice route and there are better restaurants to try.

Amazing place to go visit. We had great weather and nice art shops nearby. Food is delicious and the view is amazing. Staff were friendly and it was nice and spacious and there were no loud music,so it is good to have a one on one conversation. Great chips but the way.
