Good experience and well kept gardens. The monument is showing a few cracks, but it happens to Afrikaans too so it's good symbolism.

Most beautiful and iconic symbol for Afrikaans by Afrikaners in the most beautiful town of Paarl. Definitely a must visit at sunrise and sunsets. Even full moon picnics are super popular and can be very romantic.

The Taalmonument is an important part of Afrikaner heritage.It symbolizes the history and future of the youngest language in Africa,Afrikaans,my home language.It was a great experience to visit the monument,learn about its history and what it symbolizes.The surrounding area is ideal for picnics or just to relax,with beautiful gardens and lovely green lawns and benches everywhere for one to relax.Since the monument is on top of a hill,one also has stunning views all around.My family and I thoroughly enjoyed the day and will visit again soon.
