Spectacular setting of the vineyards with Paarl Rock in the distance. We enjoyed a delicous light lunch here and the service was very good. The waiters were very attentive, while still keeping a respectful distance. Lovely relaxing atmosphere.

My girlfriend and I went to Pearl Rock Terrace about a week ago and had the most amazing experience! Saturday morning, with a table reserved for 2, we drove through the elegant looking Laborie Wine Estate, parked under the shaded trees and went towards the restaurant.

We walked into a cool and refreshing room filled with a sort of evening vibe to it, being dinner plates and dining chairs. Following our waiter downstairs, we were greeted by the owner, Anthony, who invited us to sit at our table and casually spoke to us and made us feel welcome.

The downstairs area is spacious and open-planned, and provided us with a very beautiful vineyard and mountain aesthetic. The locale also boasted a small play area for children, giving a very artsy take on the usual swings, slide and jungle gym.

From planning to have a quick brunch, wine and cheese platter, turned into a prolonged affair featuring a three course meal aided by the special 'Kir Royale' which my girlfriend absolutely died for.. some CBC craft beer and a bottle of Eikendal's Unwooded Chardonnay. Not forgetting the most delicious part of this place, the food!! We started with the 'pork on pork', a pork fillet wrapped in bacon covered with a delicious mushroom sauce, and some deep fried squid heads. Following this, we tried their well recommended pizzas and weren't at all surprised by the flavoursome duo, being a mix of the Pepperoni and Peter's Pizza (Beef fillet, onion, avo...).

Let me just say that this was absolutely fantastic and second only to the most delicious Cheesecake and Chocolate Fondant which we polished off with some delicious Cappuccinos. Lastly, our bill was presented to us with some complimentary Grappa courtesy of the owner.

To be completely honest, we left this restaurant having had the most amazing time, great service, splendid food and an unforgettable experience, never mind the 'doggy bags'. Please do yourself a favour and go enjoy what Pearl Rock Terrace has to offer! I wouldn't be endorsing is so much if I didn't. We will definitely be going back soon!

Great atmosphere on the wine farm. Food is amazing and the service is friendly with a great view over the vinyards!

The setting amongst the vines was beautiful. Atmosphere and waiters were great. Food, a chicken salad, took very long to arrive and was rather tasteless. Chocolate brownies and icecream was very good. All in all, the new owners don't seem to care about the menu or the food.

Great view of the vineyards and a quiet corner of the winery to relax on the terrace. The food choices are pizza and meat. Wine and bottled beer. Any other cuisines are absent. The kitchen will turn out a chicken salad without the chicken if you ask - but it certainly isnt found on the menu. Service is prompt and engaged. The management pays attention to the floor. So, almost everything you could wish is handled - except if you are bringing a vegan to lunch.

We booked a very large family lunch of 35 people. What a lovely day we had! Charls and a couple of other waiters ran around all afternoon looking after us with lots of smiles and nothing being too much for them. The food was amazing and everyone left very happy. Really recommend the Resturant and hope the same team is working for you,
