We had an amazing dinner. Would recommend booking a table ahead of time because it is so popular place to dine. Lovely atmosphere outside underneath the oak trees. We shared the Saprone pizza and the Mike's special pasta. The pizzas are made with a lovely thin base, which we love. And the pasta was absolutely divine. Will be back soon!!

A warm welcome at the gate followed by a Beautiful setting while DIE STOEP Restaurant misses the basics in hospitality. Our second time and both times went something like this...
- no warm welcome at the door,
- hanging around till you find someone to find you a table
- once seated you are waiting for service,
- when the waiter finally arrives you are rushed to put in your order
- followed by mediocre coffee and burnt croissants

I do not think we will be giving them a third chance to get the basics of hospitality right

Absolutely amazing , friendly service . Rooms are exceptionally clean, fresh and spacious. The grounds particularly manicured and breathtakingly beautiful. Great value for money - highly recommended.

Stayed in the luxury villas, no 4, part of 28 Main street. Booked for two nights. Beautiful renovated. When we arrived, a cleaner was camped out in our private lounge, having his lunch and watching TV. Also, the following issues: nobody introduced or explained the amenities of our suite, so we discovered the amenities a day later. No real security as main road front gate is left open and people do not lock the house front door. Soundproofing to us is a massive problem, as you can hear people's every movement and sound in the unit next door. Woken up by neighbours speaking, arriving back at 03:25 in the morning, snoring the whole night, flushing toilets and the geyser filling up. No basic television to watch, only Netflix, and then when you wanted to watch, you get the message: " too many users are watching". No door to the shower and water goes everywhere, no handle to hold on when washing your feet, shelves are at 2 metres height and barely reachable.
Now we have to go home and get some sleep...

We started our morning at Stoep for coffee and breakfast before proceeding to a wine tasting and the purchasing of a few items from their on-site grocer. The views on the farm are breathtaking and inside Stoep they had the fireplace going which created a cosy, relaxing feel. Stoep’s interior design is also modern and on trend providing a great backdrop for photos. The breakfast menu is limited but, my husband really enjoyed their Stoep Brekkie. I am vegetarian and I love avocados so, I had high hopes for the Smashed Avo on toast but, unfortunately the lemon labneh was too overpowering which made my breakfast resemble a lemon meringue (which was not what I had wanted). My husband and I also both agreed that our toast was too hard. My breakfast is the only reason I haven’t given them a five star rating. The wine tasting was relaxing, informative and well worth the money. I did the MCC tasting and my husband did the wines. With my tasting I received 3 MCCs for R65 and my husband received 5 wines for R65. Their wines are decent and the service was good. The grocer had a lovely variety of goods and we purchased some fudge, candy and olive bread - be careful, you’ll be tempted to buy a lot more as the display and selection available will have you salivating. We will definitely be returning to Laborie.

My friends and I had a reservation for Saturday 6th August at 2pm for wine tasting but on arrival, we were told there was no reservation, only to discover the wrong date was written down. Anyway, we were seated and Gerald was the only one on duty for wine tasting and he was running from pillar to post, from one room to the other and then on to the stoep as well, Service was very poor and unprofessional with extended intervals after each glass. I suggest that you relook at this aspect of service and perhaps employ more staff during weekend wine tasting. I must say we left very disappointed and it was my 55th birthday and we chose Laborie Wine Estate out of a number of options.
