Had lunch at Grande Roche today and it was absolutely excellent. Great service, delicious food, beautiful presentation and majestic mountain views. The meals are good value also. This is definitely one of the gems of Paarl.

What a gem this hotel is..can't fault anything! Service and staff are amazing and the duplex room stunning and tastefully decorated. A home from home...not sure I want to leave

Let me start by saying Grande Roche is one of our favourite places! However we had Christmas lunch there today, R950/head; the food was beautifully presented, but cheap cuts of fish and beef used. No coffee offered either. Feeling a bit ripped off ????

Sublime experience. Spent a night at Grande Roche to experience chef Kevins creations at the restaurant. He did not disappoint, en contraire - he exceeded expectations. No temperamental chef here - just a talented people pleaser hell bent on creating good food and special food experiences. Mission accomplished. (Wish I had done the high tea as that looked right up my alley. Reason to return. )
Matching this was server extraordinaire Charlie. Wowzer. To be fair all staff served impeccably but with an approachable fun way that made it homely.
The hotel in itself was 5 star in every way. From the spacious rooms to the turn down. This was not what we came for though and the dining was our highlight.
Breakfast was the best I have had in years. Hands down!! The mini corn breads are to die for. The corn onion "salsa" was beyond. No matter what we added or requested extra it was all included in our Bu0026B rate. And we dined as if in old Rome. And got service to match.
It is safe to say Grande Roche Hotel and Grande Roche restaurant have new fans and we cannot wait for a reason to return.

Hotel is well located, overlooking Paarl, lovely hills behind hotel. Gardens are beautifully planted, and well cared for. Rooms are elegant and tastefully furnished, with everything you need. The cuisine is delicious, and well presented, all staff friendly, polite and professional.
A wonderful and uplifting experience.
