Enjoyed breakfast on our visit. Fantastic cappuccinos, compliments to the barista. The fritter stack was delicious. We were a bit disappointed with the blueberry and walnut bagel. The bagel wasn't very fresh and the breakfast didn't present as lovely as the menu picture which shows bagels overflowing with fresh blueberries and cream cheese.

Went to Mugg and Bean in Paarl Mall today for lunch and ordered something based on the picture depicted on the outside board and the photo on the menu.

Big mistake. R129 wasted on the supposedly sesame seed encrusted chicken, veg, fried rice and avo.

What l got was a gooey soft icky mess drowning in a sticky black overpowering sauce.

The waiter fully agreed that this looked nothing like what they advertised and offered to bring me proper chicken strips (as per their advertised photo) but then his supervisor came over, cancelled that replacement chicken order, and made a lame excuse about the chef possibly being heavy handed with the sauce (after agreeing it didn’t look like what was advertised) and proceeded to let us pay for that quite pricey yet disgusting soggy mess of a meal without attempting to give us fresh chicken pieces.

Very disappointing indeed. I definitely DO NOT recommend this branch and their deviation from standard menu and their unprofessional management on duty.

First visit. Was near perfect. Kitchen was just a bit slow, but service was very fast otherwise.

I had the Rancheros breakfast. Would highly recommend.
