Although it is close to the university, and has direct access to campus, i would not recommend staying here. Management has selective times to implement rules, you get fined for small things, its loud and unruly. The bathroom is small and stuffy, has mold as well. The show room that you see, isn't the room you'll get. Some Security staff is very rude to visitors and tenants. if you plan on studying in your room, chances are you probably won't be able to. The wifi and elevators work selectively. After reading all the other reviews ( a little too late to be honest, I wish I read them before coming here) a lot of people have had the same problem as me. 0/10. There are many affordable student accommodation options available to you, please look there...

TMM does not even deserve a star rating. Needless to say I need to give a star to post this. I stayed here in my first and second year. My first year I enjoyed TMM and there were minor problems. The staff were nice and very helpful. On the other hand in my second year they were rude and incompetent. When moving out at the end of 2019 they took the deposit and phoned my Mother to ask for MORE money than what the deposit was. My flat was left on a really good condition and when asked they couldn’t even tell my Mother what had to be fixed and why they are taking the whole deposit. I would like to warn anyone wanting to stay here to not. The elevators are always broken. Any complaints that students give at the office don’t get follow up with. They are rude and in general it is unpleasant place to stay. I would not advise TMM lofts Potchefstroom to anyone.

I wish I had read the reviews before deciding to stay there. Management is very disrespectful, the Manager, Mr. Van Wyk doesn't know how to speak to his tenants nor does he greet. You are expected to pay for everything, even though you had nothing to do with it and most of all the things doesn't get fixed.. so basically you will pay again because it is still broken. Management is running the place into the ground, flats are unoccupied since the appointment of the new manager who decided to turn the place into a hostel with new rules and unnecessary implementations. The rooms are very nice, but the management, not worth the stay.

If I could I wouldn't even give one star. For a building with 6 floors you'd expect the elevators to work, but it takes more than a week to be fixed and they're broken multiple times a year. Management and security guards are extremely rude to visitors/tenants. I had a broken couch for 2 years because the people that lived in the apartment before me decided to burn it with cigarettes but management won't replace or fix it because it's too expensive, even though the tenants before me had to pay a deposit. It's really noisy outside, so don't try to study at night. Nice living space and nice rooms, but everything else makes it so hard to enjoy your stay. Fines is a frequent thing, even if its out of your control, management it not forgiving at all. The show unit will alway be in perfect condition, but don't expect yours to be, and it will be a hassle to get everything fixed, even if it's not your fault, expect to pay for everything. The price became drastically more while getting no benefits out of it, alot of units is empty and they still refuse to replace or swap damaged furniture. Got a bunch of my stuff stolen in my first year here because the cleaners decided to open my locked room even though I told management I'll come back later to fetch everything. Still haven't gotten anything back and still had to pay a deposit because I decided to change units.

Beautiful place and good for students
Close to campus and easy access to shops.
Security guards are extremely disrespectful and think they own the place. They speak to students how ever they please and if you say anything back the caretaker will most likely give you a fine.

Very impressed. Not only is the staff friendly and helpful, but the unit looks exactly like it is advertised. It is affordable and very accommodating. One of the managers, Christo, was a REAL life saver and when out and beyond of his way to help me in a crisis and did it with a smile. I immediately felt at home and respected while moving in. The lifts work and the passages are all clean. I highly recommend living at TMM
