We were really looking forward to this. However, many issues:

1. My husband and I both got food poisoning.
2. Massively overpriced tourist trap. Food you can get in other African restaurants for R 50, they charged R 200 for. This was not reflected in either the location or the decor.
3. Meat was really chewy and the meat portions tiny.
4. Nice waitress but obviously under instruction to constantly try to upsell extra dishes.

Great food from various african countries. Freshly prepared with authentic taste. Friendly staff and great music. Plus they have Palm Wine too.

The service was amazing and the food just took me home. I loved the egusi soup and cow head pepper stew Thank u Hombaze I'll visit again

Hombaze is an amazing African Restaurant.
I appreciate the idea of keeping the African culture alive.
I can be away from home and still eat the super rich delicacies. (From Amala to Jollof Rice to Peppersoup to Ewa Agoyin to Ugali, i can go on and on)

The customer service at Hombaze (Pretoria) is amazing, very friendly staff and food deliveries right on time

Hombaze is my plug whenever i am in South-Africa

Good African food made real well. The staff are friendly and give good suggestions about quantity of food to order
